"Create. Lead. Inspire." was the theme of the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) conference at Lord Fairfax Community College this year so BiO Founder, Daniel Megeath, was a perfect fit to be the headlining speaker for these bright young minds.
"I feel like I can really relate and connect with this group. I was their age when my life changed forever in a car accident and where I am in my journey currently, is where they're aiming to be soon enough. With the right mindset, work ethic and dedication to their process, they can be whatever they want to be in this world. My goal is to show them that no matter how "crazy" the dream is, it really is possible to obtain if you put in the work, stay the course, and trust the process." Megeath said.
When Daniel started talked about the car accident that caused his right eye to be removed, that's when the crowd really tuned in and felt the message. He explained how life can change at any given time for any of us. How will we handle it? How will we bounce back from our setbacks?
"We can turn any negative into a positive if we choose to. When I lost my eye, I thought my life was over. It was only the beginning. If I hadn't been in that wreck, I wouldn't have the story to tell, the strength to overcome adversity, or the purpose to do a lot of the things I do now. In hindsight, that injury was probably one of the best things that has happened to me. It has helped myself and others more than I would ever had imagined."
This group asked a lot of great personal questions as well as business related questions that will help propel them on their journey of life and in the business world.
